Our center operates all year round.
Enrollment
Enrolment is conducted on first come basis. Parents can submit application for September enrolment at any time throughout the year by filling a pre-registration form available online. You will be notified via email that your application has been received and informed of the status of your application. Our regular admission times are during September and July. Please note that we will be accepting 15 students between July and September for our JK 3-4 year old program. As many of our children do continue the program we have limited spaces available in our JK 4-5 year old program and in our summer program. We still encourage families to inquire and apply as some spots do become available due to families changing circumstances.
Application Fee
A $100 non-refundable application fee is required to secure a space for your child at the centre.
Deposit
Half of the monthly tuition will be required upon registration and will be applied to the last month of your child's attendance at Smilestones.
Payment Policies
Families are asked to provide 10 post-dated cheques dated for the first of every month, which are required to be submitted to Smilestones one week prior to the start date. For students enrolling in summer camps, an additional two post-dated cheques will be required for the months of July and August, due one month prior to the start date of the summer program.
School Closures
The school will be closed the following dates for the 2010 school year:
- Thanksgiving Day
- Remembrance Day
- Winter Break
- Good Friday
- Easter Monday
- Victoria Day
- Canada Day
- BC Day
- Summer Break (last week of June)
- 4 Professional Days per Year
A tax credit of up to $7000 for program fees and a Fitness Tax Credit of up to $500 may be claimed as a tax deduction under personal income taxes. Smilestones will issue a tax receipt at parents' request.
